Main Features of DBF Commander Professional

Create and open DBF files

Use the DBF file structure window to create a new DBF file, select the file type (Visual FoxPro or dBase), modify field names, field types, field order, and decimals, and permit or forbid NULL values. You can also export and print the file structure. Moreover, you can handle multiple DBF files at a time, because DBF Commander Professional has a multiple document interface (MDI).

Edit DBF files

The user-friendly DBF editor lets you open one or more DBF files (in MDI windows). You can easily view, filter, sort, edit, and print any DBF file. The Find/Replace dialog box with case sensitive and partial compare options provides the fastest way to search for the necessary data.

Execute SQL queries

The ability to execute SQL queries is a key feature of DBF Commander Professional. You have the most powerful and flexible tool for handling DBF files.

Convert DBF encoding

This new feature has been implemented for converting character fields of a DBF file to a different encoding: from Windows to MS-DOS (OEM), from MS-DOS (OEM) to Windows, from Windows (ANSI) to UTF-8, and from UTF-8 to Windows (ANSI).

Support for Memo and BLOB fields

You can store and manage textual or binary data of any length. For that purpose, DBF Commander Professional allows you to work with the Memo and BLOB field types. The BLOB fields are especially useful for storing images.

Import and export DBF files

DBF Commander Professional lets you import data from CSV or XML files to DBF files, and export data from a DBF file to XLS, CSV, XML, or HTML files.

Import data from an SQL server (DBMS) to a DBF file and Export a DBF file to an SQL server – Oracle, MS SQL Server, MySQL, Postgre, Firebird, InterBase, etc.

As a rule, large amounts of data are managed with the help of a DBMS. DBF Commander Professional lets you connect to almost any kind of DBMS server. You only need to specify (or build) a Connection String. After that, you can easily transfer data from a DBF file to a Database at the server, and vice versa.

Encrypt DBF files and Decrypt DBF files using the AES-256 (Rijndael) algorithm

Do you want to hide some information or restrict access to it? No problem, just provide a password. The AES-256 algorithm will ensure the most secure data storage.

Statistics and Charts

DBF Commander Professional provides the tools for quick counting of DBF file statistics. Moreover, the Chart Wizard lets you easily display the information in a chart (graph, bar chart, pie chart, area chart, point plot, etc.).

Command line support

The key features are also available via the command line interface. Thanks to that, you can run batch operations on DBF files.
